Christmas Tree light switch-on

The winners of the council's Christmas eCard design competition will be switching on the lights of the Cairns Esplanade Christmas Tree. The tree will remain on display until the end of the festive season.
Edmonton Community Carols by Candlelight

This Free community event offers wonderful performances from local artists and primary schools, plus a visit from Santa. There will also be food vans and activities for the kids.

Carols by Candlelight

Join in one the biggest annual community events in Cairns!
Carols by Candlelight attracts thousands of residents and visitors for a wonderful evening of carols performed by vocal groups, dance schools and soloists, culminating with a fireworks display.
The evening doubles as the major fundraiser for the Mayor's Christmas Cheer Appeal. Proceeds from the sale of merchandise goes towards the distribution of food hampers to around 700 local families who might otherwise go without on Christmas Day. A worthy cause to support this Christmas.
